John, I really appreciate you pointing us in the direction of these videos. I love classical music but am not knowledgeable about it. This is exactly the sort of thing I have been looking for.
John, thank you for this post and for introducing me to Dave’s YouTube channel! I’ve always wanted to be more informed about classical music (and opera as well), but I usually settle for a curated playlist on Spotify (as to avoid the rabbit hole when I really should be working). The playlists are great, but I never really learn anything, and the whole process ends up feeling a bit superficial. This is the education and deep dive I’ve been looking for! Thanks again—appreciate it.
John, Thanks so much for sharing these four of Dave’s Utube videos. I found them informative, fascinating, and thought provoking. It makes me want to venture out more than I often do. I’d also like to know how to connect to more of his innumerable videos.
If you go to his channel, you will find the videos organized into playlists which you can explore—by composer, by topic, for beginners, reference recordings, etc. Put in your thumb, and pull out plumbs.

My pleasure, Matthew. Let us know about which rabbit holes you end up exploring.
It is alway good to have a guide.

Dave Hurwitz is a treat! Thank you.
Beyond excited! And this on the heels of a blissful week of revisiting Prince's oeuvre. :) Thank you John.
You’re welcome, Patricia. I’ve found my niche audience who enjoys Prince, the sagas, and classical music 😉
