Having reread four of the six novels so far this year (still waiting on Mansfield Park and Northanger Abbey), I can easily say Emma is my favorite, a slot previously reserved for Persuasion. Funny!
This has been a wonderful reading journey - thank you! (And yes I spotted that challenge you threw down, to deconstruct the Emma-Knightley proposal. All over that. 😊)
Such a fine read, John, thank you for deepening my appreciation for Austen’s writing. I’ve always loved the stories, but she is so much more than an excellent storyteller.
Thank you John for this excellent reading adventure.
I've loved Austen's _Emma_ so much and even more your insightful posts about this novel that I hold dear.
I second David Robert’s comment. Thank you John. Now I have to decide which Austen to read next.
Have you read any of the others? If not, I would go with P&P next.
I haven’t. This was my first. So thank you, P&P it is!

Another win for Emma!

I will be looking forward to it!
